| GOODBYE 2007!!I'd have to say this year has been the most biggest growing point as a person in my 21 years of life. I had my ups and down, took the right with the wrong, and the good with the bad. Had many people come in my life and even more leaving my life but all-in-all they are not forgotten. I'd have to say thank you for making me the person i am today. Im excited for the new year. | No, I'm not talking about myself. I'm refering to some friends I know who I wonder why they are still single. I would like to add that they are not single by choice. We all know single people, but sometimes, you know why. Some choose to be, some are really picky, some are not on the best looking side. Others have no time for relationships, have bad attitudes or simply just introverted and aren't social enough. Whatever the case may be, there is a specific reason that lowers their chances. But what about those friends who aren't any of those things? Those who are fun, good-looking, intelligent, interesting and are overall good people. Why are they single?
It is a really tough question. More surprisingly, these people I know are mostly female. Is there a shortage of decent guys out there? I have a friend who I talk to pretty much everyday and we talk about everything. She is pretty, really fun, smart and has a good heart. We both wonder why she is still single. Granted, she is also looking for someone like her, but apparently, that is non-existent.
Sometimes, I wonder--am I really optimistic when it comes to the male gender? Are most guys really just looking to score? I always thought there were those who did that and then those who were the exact opposite--guys who were looking for that specific girl to fall in love and settle down with. After further thinking, I realize that I may have given the male gender too much credit.
Most guys are only looking to get with girls for sex. I hear so many stories where sometimes by the end of the first date, they inquire. Are you kidding me? One of my close friends told me she has given up casual dating. Virtually every guy who she has dated just wanted to get into her pants. And I know her. She is not the type who lead people on. In the past year, she has only meet one guy who didnt have intentions of only a fling.
The harder it is for a good girl to find a good guy, the harder it is for a good guy to find a good girl. The problem is, it's not even just a handful of guys who are just looking to hook up. Many guys I know are just looking for sex. They are overall good people, but when it comes to girls, they are just looking for intimate fun without any strings attached. Because of this, girls are more cautious with who they date and who they can trust.
Finding a good guy may well be as hard as winning the lottery these days. If only it was as simple as a dollar and a dream. I also would like to add that as many people pointed out, girls are also partly to be blamed for them being single. However, that is another story for another time. Maybe I'll write about that next. | wow i totally forgot about you xanga!! im sorry. i've just been caught up with life i guess. So sitting outside earlier jus to get some air, i looked up at the sky, and i was jus serenated by what i saw. I havent seen the sky this clear for a looong time. It was beautiful. There must have been about a billion stars out tonight. i jus felt a warm calm feeling that is really indescribable. Ok enough about that LOL..  Okay soo summer wasnt so great for me. Spent most of my time with Lillian and didnt really have much time to myself. I got to visit a few friends which was nice. . i havent smoked a cig in a long while. been doing good maintaining that. i have been attending college here in Blythe. something i wanted n was suppose to do last year but i guess i finally found the time n dedication to do it. umm other then that life is good i supose.. what doesnt kill you makes you stronger... | | |
| The future
I don't know what I want to do in the future. I want to move away to some beautiful place with my loved ones and be happy. I don't care what I do or where I go, I just want us to be happy. When you're dead it won't matter how cool you were or how much money you made.. I know and realize this, therefore I don't care about that. I don't care about the money I don't care about living up to anyone's expectations. This is MY life and I will live it how I chose, and that is to the fullest.
Love
It's hard to find decent people in the world. People that are worth loving. So when you find a certain someone and you love them... be sure to let them know. Whether it be a friend, a significant other, or a family member. It never hurt anyone to tell others how they feel about one another. Don't wait until it's too late.
Laugh
Laughter is the best medicine for anything. I think it's a way to express joy in your heart and a sign of happiness. When you're laughing, it doesn't matter any more. It doesn't matter who thinks what and who went where. When you're laughing you're having fun. When you're laughing, you're happy.
Smile
Smile when there's nothing left to smile about. No matter how bad you think you've got it, there's always someone who is off a lot worse than you'll ever be. Just because you don't like the way things are going for you, don't let that bring you down. A smile is one of the few things in this world that is free, so take advantage, and brighten someone's day... even if it's your own.
Live
Live like you'll never see tomorrow because there's no guarantee that you will. Life is too short to be wasted. There's not enough time to do things that don't really matter. Life is too short to be unhappy, it's too short to not let the people you love know it. Life is too short to look back and wish you had done things differently. Live your life, like you won't be here tomorrow. | | |
| To think if we were still together? I moved to Arizona? Would things have ended up there way they did? sigh* It seems like it probably would have. You cant change another person. We choose our own faith... I guess i didnt play my cards right. But hey, im learning. Still i dont regret one thing..  Whats done is done.
